Culver City is home to around 39,185 people in Los Angeles County and is named after its founder, Harry Culver. The city is diverse and, over the years, has annexed more than 40 parcels of adjoining land in Los Angeles to grow to a size of about five square miles.

Being a center for both film and television production since the 1920s, Culver City is known as the home of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios, National Public Radio West, Sony Pictures Entertainment and the NFL Network studio.
