West Hollywood is a city in Los Angeles known for the incredible restaurants, bars and nightlife that attract people from all over the globe. The area is home to many legendary celebrity hangout spots such as the Chateau Marmont hotel, Soho House, and Formoso Cafe. The city originally was named “Sherman” and was developed in the late nineteenth century to cater to the Los Angeles Pacific Railroad.

Today, West Hollywood is home to about 35,757 people and is 1.89 square miles in size. The city is considered to be one of the nation’s most notable “gay villages” and has been a landmark for the LGBTQ+ community for years. Neighboring cities include Hollywood Hills and Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Fairfax District and Beverly Grove.
